New Year in Rome

Little by little, Rome has become a favourite destination to visit during the festivities of new year’s eve. The magic of all Italy is concentrated in a single city to give visitors the best of this country. The big parties are not strange to the eyes of the Romans, so if you are in search of a big celebration to welcome the new year, Rome is an excellent choice.

Unlike many countries in America and Europe, Rome does not celebrate the arrival of the new year with the traditional twelve grapes. The Romans enjoy the evening patiently waiting for midnight and toasting with sparkling wine, they also expect a grand dinner or cenone, which includes lentils with pork leg or Italian Lenticchie with zampone. The belief is that these lentils are a symbol of abundance and will provide money in the coming year.
